Head Coach - Varsity
Coach Cook is going into her second season as the head coach for the girls lacrosse team. She played lacrosse for three years in high school on the varsity team and played two years on the VCU club team. She assisted in coaching for the Hayfield hawks during their fall and winter off season (Fall Ball, Fall Brawl, Winter Ball) in 2017 and 2018, and she currently coach for DC SCORES at Amidon Bowen for the soccer K-2 team. Coach Cook's mission for the girls lacrosse team is to establish a love for the game and to create enough interest for it to become an official DCIAA sport. She is looking forward to mentoring and challenging the team to becoming great STUDENT athletes.
Head Coach - JV
Coach Rosa is a native Washingtonian and Wilson High School alumna. At Wilson HS, she played for and helped start the girls lacrosse program. Following high school graduation she attended the University of Maryland College Park where she played four years of club lacrosse. She started all four years and served as the club Treasurer her senior year. She graduated from UMCP in 2003 with a degree in Spanish Language and Literature and a minor in Business Administration. Following graduation, she coached at Archbishop Carroll High School for five years before returning to Wilson to coach in 2011. Rosa continued to play lacrosse on a post-collegiate club teams for 13 years. Rosa now participates in Dragon Boat racing with DC Dragons and enjoys to traveling during the off season.
Girls Lacrosse is a spring sport at Wilson. There is a Varsity team and a JV team. The teams play against public and private schools in the DC area. Go Tigers Girls LAX!
