Wilson’s Football team has been a DC powerhouse for decades. Since 2011 alone, Wilson has sent over 60 players to play at the college level in DI, DII and DIII schools, including Syracuse, University of Maryland, Old Dominion, Liberty, Glenville State, University of Michigan, and many more.

Be Prepared; Get your Athletic Forms in Early

Football SY 22-23, we are on a roll.  Be ready for Summer workouts and try-outs.  Prior to any student-athlete participating in Summer workouts or Fall Try-outs, these forms must be submitted along with an updated Universal Health Certificate. 

There are two ways to submit athletic paperwork: 1) Hard copy can be submitted to the Coach or Main Office.  2) Click into link to submit electronically. https://dcgov.seamlessdocs.com/f/t4t1pef1kz3w .  When using the seamless documents make sure that you and your child signed the forms and submit.

Proof of vaccination will be required for all student-athletes or a request for exemption must be submitted for clearance.  Send all vaccination proof to JacksonReed.Athletics@k12.dc.gov.

Spring Workouts are well underway

I’m fired up!  Our players have fully engaged Spring workouts in pursuit to rebuilding the Tigers flagship football program.  Jackson-Reed is an exceptional High School, with so much to offer. Varsity Head Coach

Coach Rodgers brings a passion and mission to Jackson Reed High School to develop men of character and integrity within a culture of greatness.  He looks forward to continuing the challenge of bringing the Tigers back to the top.

Coach Rodgers completed his second year as Head Coach for the Tigers and is in his 14th year of coaching High School football. In 2017 Coach Rodgers led the Ballou Knights to back-to-back Turkey Bowl appearances winning the school’s second ever DCIAA City Championship in 2017 over HD Woodson.  The Knights continued on to win their first ever DCSAA State title in 2017 over Friendship Collegiate Academy.  He was named 2017 DCSAA and USA Today (DC) Coach of the Year.

Junior Varsity Head Coach

Coach Rob is a native Washingtonian who attended Woodrow Wilson High School, graduating class of 2007, where he also played football. As a football player, Coach Rob played quarterback and defensive back, and won JV Offensive Player of the Year in 2004. He was the JV Defensive Coordinator from 2014- 18, and has been coaching varsity players since 2017. The 2019 season is Coach Rob’s first year as Head Coach of the JV team.
